Lets say you wanted an engine. A regular N62B48 engine (550i engine). One that was used and preferrably something with say, I dunno, 60-70k miles on it(or something that could be cleaned up from OEM specs with say a .5mm over-bore)... who would you contact to buy such a thing? I see that the Bavarian Auto Recycling guys have N62B44 engines quite often (545 engines), but really just looking for the 4.8 liter variant. What would you do and who would you buy from?
