I went with R1 slotted rotors and Hawk HPS pads on my E60 Sport. I drive street only. Very happy with low dust, wet/dry hot/cold performance. Will go with the same setup for my E90 Sport.

For anyone looking for rotors/brake pads, you MUST CONTACT ACUTEPERFORMANCE. I did my research and his prices were the best! Ordered the R1 concept elite rotors, hawk break pads and sensors shipped n 4 days! You won't fine a better deal!

A lot of love for R1 rotors and hawks pads. How does this combo compared to OEM's?

Better? Much better? In what way other than low brake dust? Thanks.

The rotors I bought from NeRwEEzy were installed. So far, they seems good. It is pity that I didn't use OEM or R1 brake pads. I think I will get R1 brake pads next time. Thanks to NeRwEEzy.

OEM rotors are two piece construction to save weight (less unsprung weight). I am not sure if R1 rotors are the same. Maybe one of the vendors can clarify. It would also be interesting to compare their weigh against OEM.

I have Hawk HPS pads with OEM rotors and they seem to be ok. Stopping power is about as good as OEM with significantly less dust.
