Hello, for anyone who has put 19" or 20" rims on their 5 series, I could use your help.
I'm planning on buying bigger rims for my white 530 but first I wanted to know if there is a significant road noise difference or the comfort of the ride gets much worse?
If anyone could let me know what they think it would be very appreciated.

Welcome aboard - we're glad you joined us.
Well, I just switched from the stock 18" sport wheels (style 124) to the 19" M5 wheels - and I don't notice any loss in ride quality.
In fact, getting rid of the run-flats is the single best thing you can do to improve the overall feel of driving the E60.
Don't worry about getting 19" (or maybe even 20") wheels: It mostly depends on the tires - a lot - in terms of road noise and ride comfort. Many here like the Michelin PS2 tires.
Pick whichever wheel you like best - and put some great tires on them. Just make sure the combined fit will work on your car without rubbing. Just search around ... there are lot's a great discussions on wheels in here.
Happy hunting.

The ride quality is much better with the 166 M5 wheels (19") with Michelin PS2 tires than the 18" rims with the runflats. Absolutely no comparison!
