I used normal DVD-R disc and I burned it with NERO v. 6.something

[offtopic] I just found out that my cars software has been updated in 2005 so the mp3 playing should be possible?

Yes it's possible, just make sure "Joliet" file system is turned off in your burning software, as the latest software doesn't support it.

Hi welcome aboard!!

I don't have NAV on my car, but if you want a 100% clone of the DVD, try Alcohol 120%. That's by far the best CD/DVD cloning software I had used.

I had to trash several DVD-R's before I read somewhere that only DVD+R works. My first burn was a success. Used nero6 and chose data dvd disk copy.

Mine works fine with a DVD-R, that's the only kind I ever use (except for the occasional DVD-RW)...
