I?ve just installed a BSW Stage 1 kit for E60 in my E61. BSW don?t have kit for the E61 yet, but it looks like the kit for the E60 fit in the E61 also. Here are some pictures of the speaker in the roof.

The original speaker

After removing the original speaker:

The BSW speaker in the original housing. Fit 100%

Some more:

Very easy installation. Took about 15 minutes

I'm tired to wait for the e61 release.

haugejan is plug and play the e60 bsw stage1 in e61?
I really don't know why is not available for e61. i'm tired to wait , almost 6 months
you spent only 15 minutes for full installation or only for the roof speakers?

I have standard speakers, do you think that worth spend the money in the bsw stage 1, or it is better retrofit the Logic 7?

sorry for all questions

retrofitting the L7 and installing BSW speakers are two completely different mods - L7 adds surround processing, but does not change the speakers. BSW upgrades the speakers themselves. Ultimately, if you have the $$$ to spare, I'd recommend getting an L7 retrofit and then the L7 BSW package to have both - the surround sound processing and the better speakers. But if you have to choose one or the other, BSW speakers will undoubtedly make more difference. The only problem is that if you do get the L7 retrofit later, you'll have to add another couple of BSW speakers individually to complete the L7.

I think you would get better sound by upgrading to the BSW stage1, but if you really want better sound, you should add a amplifier and earthquake sub.

By the way, the BSW stage 1 for E60 is plug and play on the E61
