Hey all, I was just curious how much of an upgrade if any is the BSW upgrade over the pre-installed "Premium Audio" that comes already installed? Is it worth the $600 or is there not much difference? I'm just looking for a little more clarity and high end stuff (there is already enough low end I think)...I was also looking at replacing the tweeters which should add a little for a pretty low cost....any thoughts would be great!

Thanks!

I replaced my factory L7 speakers with BSW Stage 1 speakers. Nice upgrade. Better clarity and channel seperation. Less harsh.

I've been wondering about this myself. I hope to see more replies.

What upgrade did you do? You didn't have to change out the factory amp did you? Was it truly a direct plug'n'play for the install?

he said he did stage 1 and its direct plug and play but if you have L7 with a center channel you need to order that option so its a like $100 more for that one

BSW is deff worth the price for the improvement

I don't get it are these like aftermarket speakers? Because as Far as I know, neither BOSE, Harman Kardon, Bang Olufsen , or Bowers-Wilkins make aftermarket speakers for any car.

I don't have the L7 system, bu I added the speaker pkg and it sounds WAY better (especially with the 12 in the trunk - yes 1 sub, I have kids need some trunk space left)

Yes, Bavarian Sound Werks makes them for our cars

very good quality and good prices.

All of those speaker companies you listed make speakers for cars

bose is in porsche and audi

harmon is in bmw

Canton is in Volvo

B&W is in some higher end cars, i dont remember which though

so if a E60 with L7 system upgrade to BSW stage 1 will be same as a E60 without L7 system upgrade with stage 1 package?

those stage 1 speakers are for L7 system and non L7 system? does anyone know?

No, it won't be the same. Stage I can be used in both systems and you'll get a sound improvement. However, logic7 has an equalizer and other refinements/additions that aren't present in the standard audio system.
