looking to buy the brightest headlights possible. 04 530i wondering who to go threw on here and what exactly should i run, any info would be appreciated thanks guys.

yeah headlights. i have 10k temp in there now and yeah the blueish tint looks good and all when other cars see you but when your driving mountain roads like where i live at night they suck i cant see shit. im looking for simple bulp replacement or something similar not crazy hid angel eyes at the moment just want to get threw winter safe and not have a deer blow threw my car.

I agree with you, that while blue headlights are great for show, IMHO the brightest possible "white" light will help you see farther. If you're interested in a reasonable and easy solution try these: http://www.sylvania....ilverStarUltra/

Your car probably uses H-7s for both high and low beams [ check before you buy]. And, if I'm not mistaken, some of the auto retailers are offering a $10 rebate. You can always shop thru the link in my signature for additional rebates at AutoZone and Advance Auto. (Tip = Shop on-line / pick up at store.)

6000K is the brightest. then 4300K and 8000K. Then 10000K and 3000K, then12000K, then 20000K

According to philips and osram, 4300k is the brightest. 4300k provides the greatest lumen output in hid bulbs.

See the philips datasheets for 4300k and 6000k bulbs, there is a significant drop in lumen output between a 4300k and 6000k bulb.
