^ I know you asked about the MTEC ones, but I'll give you my experiences so far. I tried those, the GP Thunders, and the RD Dash LED's and all of them were terrible with the exception of the GP thunders. But then I pulled the trigger and got HID AE's put in for $250 (including the cost of the HIDs + Labor). My HID AE's blows away everything except the LUIS LED retrofit, but considering I didn't have to send my headlights away and the fact that it cost only a fraction of what Luis' kit costs, it was a no brainer for me. I have no error lights, no flickering, and I can basically drive at night with just my AE"s on since they are so bright.

For LCI, the ONLY option IMO are getting HID's retrofitted in. Otherwise just stick with the GP thunders if you don't need them to be as bright as my sig.

Any questions let me know. I can also tell you where to get them installed in the NY/NJ area.
The OSS upgrade looks amazing. Yours looks really good too. My GP Thunders make the AEs stand out more than the OEM AEs but are nothing compared to the OSS upgrade or your HID upgrade.

Appreciate the find! Here is the one I was looking for:

I knew Frank did this!! Anyway, in an attempt to circumvent the problem of a bright white AE not showing up during the day, I thought maybe this could be an option for someone looking for a pre-lci angel eye that could be seen a little better during the day. Frank, chime in buddy, and let us know what you thought of them!

question from a new '07 550i (pre-LCI), xenon
I don't have DRL now, I understand that the dealer has to enable the option
On the Predator Ice, they claim that it can be wired for DRL, but nothing in their instruction said so. Did anyone tried to wire it this way without having the dealer activating DRL (which is the inner bulb for my year I think)
Thank you very much for all your help.
Also, is anything else out there about the same price range that can have DRL enabled? Thanks.

For pre LCI, I don't believe I've seen anyone with angel eye as DRL. Not sure what the claim is, but Predator Ice alone won't give you AE DRL, you need to rewire a whole bunch of things to make that work. In the same price range, there is no other option to make AE DRL. But if you want to spend $800 to $900, you can have the OSS angel eyes, they are as bright as the LCI AE in daylight. (Still no DRL option yet).

They are made by the same manufacturer (AI and are not cheap.

Just got off the phone with my supplier. We will be launching an LED angel eye that's brighter than ANY angel eye out there soon. Pricing is still to be determined but feel free to start a list of interests. I should be to only one to carry it for now. Supposedly brighter and whiter than Predator and AIBs. Time will tell guys. LOL
