Breyton cast wheel question

It's been a while since i've been on but here it goes....my latest dilemma... 
I installed a set of 19" breyton race gts wheels 6 months ago. The wheels are cast and I was worried how well they would hold up on the streets of NY. I loved the way they look but I bent 2 of them already. The potholes I hit weren't that bad either. 
I tried getting the wheels repaired but I wasn't pleased with them. I had to bight the bullet and buy 2 new wheels. My question is would a forged wheel hold up better? Are the 166 wheels forged? Thanks guys
