2008 535i stock 300HP/TQ. Got a few mods and butt dyno thinks one is running about 375 HP/TQ. So I need better stoping power.

What does the forum hard, spirited, likes-to-brake-last-minute drivers think of upgrading only the Front brake kit to say M5 rotors, calipers and pads or brembo, or other competing and less expensive options (than brembo)?

Will upgrading front only do the job or do I need to upgrade rears also?

Hi,

I have upgraded front and rear brakes to OEM m5. This is second best mod after remap.

You have to change the rotors and the calipers for the m5 ones. Please note, that 18"+ wheels will fit.

The result is incredible, you have to watch out for somebody not to crash into you when braking. You get some extra noise, as the rotors are drilled, but it is quite pleasant.

Totally worth it.

 

I may have a few OEM M5 brake setups coming in by the end of the month if interested.
