I asked Turner Motorsport to get me prices on Stoptech cross drilled rotors and SS brake lines. The SS brake lines in my M3 definitely made the brakes more responsive.
I keep looking at the Big Brake kits (they would look GREAT behind my BBS wheels) but spending 4 grand and up just seems too steep. The car stops very well as is and I don't plan on taking my E60 to the track. I'm just looking to make some small improvements and personalize the car without spending HUGE dollars.
My 05 545i has OEM rotors with the aluminum "hats". Does anyone know how the Stoptech cross drilled rotors compare to OEM in terms of weight? I want the better looking (and hopefully better performing) rotors but it just doesn't make sense to add unsprung weight. Worst thing you can do to these cars...

How much? And what does it include? When you say plug and play is it just taking the brakes off each corner, fitting M5 stuff and bleeding the brakes?

M5's have BIG wheels. Will the M5 brake kit clear the factory Sport package 18" wheels? I am using 18" BBS LM's but if the brakes clear the OEM 18's the BBS 18's should work as well.

not cheap but cheaper than brembos. yes fitment its easy as you wrote.
18" LMs should clear the calipers.
I will send you a pm for the pricing.
