Hello guys

I havent really been here like i used to.

but i need help...

I need brake for my car and sensors.

Which one is one that has really good stopping power and less squeak?
Does anyone ever used akebono or cool carbon? how are they compared to oem

im debating if i should go with oem or akebono.


please let me know.

most on here will tell you hawk. I would definitely not go oem unless you like cleaning brake dust for some odd reason. A lot of e46 guys use akebono and have good things to say about them. Personally I would go with Hawk and support our vendors.

axxis ultimates are fantastic for stopping power, better than stock for dust. i found the akebonos to be too soft last time i tried them on my old E39. i have the cool carbons now and i'm not really thrilled with their initial bite.

Are the axxis pads still available? I currently have the axxis deluxe, they are great for dust but a little on the soft side. For daily driving I don't have any complaints, but I haven't seen any axxis pads around in a while now.

they've gone back to pbr instead of axxis now, but yes they are still around. the deluxes are a little too soft for heavier cars, IMO.
