Good to see you posting again, Sam. I guess all of that driving has been keeping you busy. Waxing the wheels will help on brake dust, but the help is minimal. I keep mine treated with RejeX, but still need to rinse and brush if I want them to look as good as the rest of the car. I equate brake dust with stopping power and keep on tooling.

Anyone got pics of Kleen Wheels in action???
I think they would work great if you had the right wheel. Obviously something coverving alot of area. If you had a simple 5 spoke wheel I think it would look behind hideous. If you had a thicker wheel such as----I dont know then it would look good.

My Ride: 2004 545i - 6 speed manual (July 04 build), silver-grey/black, sports package std equipment (18", active roll, active steering, adaptive headlights), premium sound, bluetooth enabled, folding rear seat, lumbar, 3m hood/bumper protective film, rear tint, euro reflectors.
I would not use the brake shields - not only looks, but they affect the cooling.
There are brake pads out there that are low dust, low noise that have very similar braking characteristics. The one I have hear recomendations of, which I am still waiting for the sizes for the 545i sport are the Axxis Deluxe. They are available for 545 not sport, 530's, 525's. Very similar braking characteristic, low dust, low noise as recommended by other BMW folks.
You can talk to stop tech to get the real run down.
That is the only real solution for me. I drive about 75 miles per day, mostly freeway and my wheels have a layer of dust after one day.
