I am wondering if anyone knows if the shift boot leather part just snaps onto the standard edge of the trim (center trim piece that is the same on both auto and manual cars)
or if theres a special holder that bmw uses to snap it into place...
...i have an auto/steptronic trans and want to remove the base plate for the full leather shift boot

someone can help?

...the manual leather boot will fit on auto with no problem

but some modifying will be needed so u can still use the steptronic part of ur tranny since the cables under the auto trim need to be connected in order to make it possible to use
