I made a small modification to this installation. Instead of powering the camera from the front fuse box I powered it via the Sunroof Power source. My car does not have a Subroof so that was fine. But the main reason for doing that was that the Sunroof is powered via one of the few Terminal 30G connections (i.e. the power goes to sleep with the car).
I did this via the plug in the rear fuse box. See picture http://forums.e60.net/index.php?showtopic=37190 its that same plug where the lighter sockets are wired from. I used PIN 8 from that plug which is the Sunroof power. Used a 1 x SOCKET CONTACT ELO-POWER 2,8X0,63 0,5-1,0 MM? 61138364832 for the connection.

Probably a stupid question but if I've got the extended sat nav screen, how does it work with the graphics you get when reversing..?.! Is it a case of turning the display off..??.
Will the camera come on as soon as I put it into reverse automatically..?!.
Has anyone fitted one to the front yet..?.!
