I have purchased 2 BMW umbrellas.
The first one went in the trunk, and I mounted the second one in the passenger footwell.
As pics show, it does not get in the way when the glove compartment gets opened.

It fits good but I would never get it! I am a tough guy and I don't need no stinky umbrella . Also, I'd kill myself to drip the rainwater into my interior.

Hey!! Ain't that what the trunk is for??!!

cheers,

beewang

If placed mine in the trunk aswell, high up. For the dripping reason.

I hear you, but...

BMW umbrella does not drip much (when new, at least).
A little shake, and the water is mostly gone.

Second, under heavy rain, I don't want to get soaked getting the umbrella from the trunk. If something's got to get wet, rather the floor of the passenger area than my head and shoulders (this is not a shampoo ad)

I haven't used them yet, but in heavy rain I will. That's why I bought them.
And on previous cars I never had a problem with dripping rainwater in my interior. It's all about the right technique...

i like it. Nice job. clean.
is there dedicated mounting spots in the passenger foot well? or did you just drill/tab the plastic trim piece?

also, if you don't mind sharing, whats the price of the umbrellas?

No dedicated mounting spots there.

The Ice is right, no "mounting spots".

It's a custom job, drilled 2 holes, used plastic screws and nuts, and black screw covers.

The hard part, if you don't want to disassemble the whole dashboard, is to slip your hand with nut and washer BEHIND the trim.
