My Ride: 2004 530i
Default BMW Style 124 Rims do not fit my 2004 530i

From what I can find online, BMW style 124 rims should fit all E60 cars. I have the staggered set, 18x8 up front and 18x9.5 in rear.

The front rims hit the strut when they are bolted on. See pics. Is this normal? Did BMW change the offset for these wheels at some point during the life of the car?

Thanks

You should research further, rims are normally made in different offsets. The e60 series run in 3 that I know of. The rwd, awd and m's. What the previous poster says looks to be the case. The awd/xi's have twice the offset of the rwd.

yup, what they said.

Just looking at the concavity of the wheel I can tell they aren't RWD. Hope you can get your money back

Yep, that looks like the issue.

Front offset is 43
Rear offset is 55

The seller says he had them on his 545i, does this seems right?

Most definitely your issue. The front is the right offset for the awd, which I suspect his was. Personally I would not persue it further as it is going to take thick spacers to push them out far enough. Even more for the rear. If I recall right the m's offset are 12, rwd is 21 and awd is 43(this one I know for sure). See how far you would have to push them out?
