Thumbs up

I am trying to order the Original BMW M5 Rear Bumper (Dual Exhaust) and the BMW dealership is saying that it will not fit the 530i, is this true? I thought it wouldnt be a problem? If so, does there need to be any mods for it to fit?

Thanks!

It fits, no doubt. Many have done on this site. Dealerships are morons.

Most dealers frown upon modifications and/or aftermarket parts. They're not gonna tell you it fits, when there's potential fitment issues. It's not exactly "plug-n-play", but it'll fit with a little bit of modification. Most body shops are able to fit it no problem.

in addition to member imsortofabigdeal, off the top of my head members vegastrashed, my530i, and iceman316 have the M5 rear bumper on their e60s, plus anyone else who has a full M5 conversion and or just the M5 rear for quads.

M5 bumper fit perfectly .
But you need a new exhaust, once installed the bumper .

Of course it fits, take a look at my 530d here in the UIK, my dealer has seen my car and is impressed with it. Take a look at my cars back end...! and a black 545i with some ultra big trims on it,

There is one fact that people forgot to mention that the right stock exhaust tip touches and melts the right side edge M5 bumper. Look at the pic here.
That's why dealer does not want to do it. So, you have to shave that part on both sides to be it symmetrical.

It's not perfect fit like someone said. It does fit but you have to either shave your bumper or change muffler.
In terms of screw fitment, etc, yes it fit.
For diffuser, you have to do some cutting, drilling or so.
