Hello members!

Do you know if BMW has something to keep the battery charged when we don't use it?

I need a part number, if yes.

Thank you!

I once was told (by a BMW dealer) that BMW has a package which includes the charger, and they'll install a connector that comes out of the front and you plug the charger to the connector and the power at the other end.

Cost about NZ$200 (US$130) including installation.

Hmmm I never seen the one based on your p/n ...
I think the one I'm using maybe US specific http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?mo...;fg=05&hl=2 the 2nd p/n.
AFAIK for our E60 it must be on the "+" terminal under the hood not the lighter.

Alex, look at a Black & Decker 2AMP Float charger [BM2B]. Does a great job for me.

See at Amazon for $30. (In USA)

Here for $30 (?20) you don't buy the box.
But the idea to search something not OEM is good, thanks!
