Just talked to Garry at Newport BMW (offers all of us 25% off OEM products).

Just to give you an example. Last year I got OEM M166 wheels with M6 off-set for $1675. Today it is almost $2200 for the 166 wheels alone. I called him about pricing on the 128's for 19's. They were $590 ea. for fronts and $631 ea. for rears. With 25% off they were about $1854.

Or look for a deal on OEM used rims. I did and I am happy with my choice, now just need a lowering.

Exactly +1, you can find good deals from craigslist. I wanted to stick to OEM wheels (mainly because of resale value) and waited and looked and found my 125's for $1K with tires (Michelin PS2's no less). Great deal, now I just gotta powder coat em and I'm done.

i heard that powder coating the wheels might affect the aluminum, not as strong as original
you might want to do some research, like temperature etc

I just found my receipt for my 128's that were on my last car. I bought them from Gary and I paid $1621 last year so a +$230 isn't too bad a year later considering how production costs in all industries have gone way up. It still cheaper than just about any other place that would carry these wheels.

I know your pain. I was shocked when I got the quote for my 21" 128's from Gary a few weeks ago. It was about $500 more than I expected. At that point it didn't matter since I "had to have them"

I'm just trying to make you feel better. Just get them!

Wow, they went up 30%. There is always aftermarket wheels. VMRs are great alternative.
