Does anyone know if bmw assistance is free if the car is less then 4 years old?

No, it costs just over ?100 per year after the first free 6 months... however it seems the only way to get the useless prof navigation system to work, just call them and they send full address phone and download nav guidance.. save loads of time messing about trying to get post codes to work or trying to find roads that dont exist on BMW's disc!

depends on where you are located.
i believe starting in 07 model bmw gives you 4 years of free bmw assistance
for 06 and earlier it's only 1 year unless it's extended from the original owner
i remember when i bought my 07 the base price of the car increases, and i notice they 'bundle' in 4 years of bmw assist starting in 07
and this is in the US market, others could vary...
