Under normal conditions no problem... but when its close to full compression it'll rub. A lot of discussions about it back in 2006/2007

i have an 05 545 with sport suspension and i just got a set of 166 M5 wheels with 245/35 fronts and 285/35 rears......im looking to put a set of Eibach springs and was wondering if anyone had this setup already and if anyone had and issues with rubbing......i think the fronts might be OK but im not sure about the rears.

any info is much appreciated

I decided to go with 275/30 with 12 mm spacers and 245/ 35 front no spacer and I am on stock sport suspension. I have my 166s power coated and face machined. Actually it taking so long but once I put them on my car I'll post the pics. OP you made a good chose,166s are the best wheels for e60. You definitely need mteck kit. sides and front at least and the wheels will look much better.

With these m5 wheels and a 15mm spacer, Can you use 285/35/19 on the rears of a 545i sport package without rubbing? i want the widest tire w/o rubbing.
