Chaps,

I've seen a number of posts regarding remaps and the experiences people have had. I just thought i'd give the readers from the UK a summary of the service offered by DMS, by far the best remapping company on the EU market!!!

I had my 535d remapped just over 12months ago, after speaking to Mike of DMS an engineer attends your home address and simply connects his laptop, the remap takes about 2hrs. Once completed the engineer will ask you to go for a test drive to check you?re totally happy. Well what can I say, the car was quick before but after the remap it's a different animal!! Nothing i come up against on the road do i fear, the torque is amazing and once you cross 100mph the cars seems to go like an express train!!!!
As for BMW warranty issues there are none! Totally undetectable and i've had a full BMW diagnostic check and remap carried out without comment.
The service offered by DMS is exceptional, they offer a 3yr guarantee and if BMW reset your software within the 3yr guarantee period an engineer from DMS will come and remap your vehicle without hesitation and without any additional cost!!
A truly exceptional company whose in house software takes your BMW to a different level!!!!

I recommend DMS to all BMW owners who want the ultimate performance without sacrificing reliability or warranty.

Have you had the car rolling roaded to confirm the BHP gains? If it feels fast and you're happy then that is great but wouldn't you be really exciting if you realised, for example, it was only 320 bhp due to a bad remap and that a quick refresh of the remap would unleash the full 350 bhp. May be what you thought was fast at 320 bhp, is nothing compared to the ful 350 bhp. If it was me then I know I'd want to be sure to put my mind at ease. However, some people say that if you're happy then that's the important thing and I can understand that too.

Anyway, congrats on the remap. Have you noticed better MPG when you're taking it easy? I'd imagine overall MPG is worse as you're probably tapping into the power a lot more :-)

DMS are very good, had my 530D done 3 years ago. They are at the top end of the price range though.

Also good are e-maps http://www.e-maps.co.uk/

and Superchips http://www.superchips.co.uk/index.php?opti...4&Itemid=28

If it`s been remapped again by BMW then your dms map will have been over written again won`t it? i`d check..

I would recommend emaps too, all sorts of maps for torque/ecomony as well as sport... Done at home also.

Not sure if you guys are aware, but newer BMW engine software is storing engine parameters that may be sign of a remapped engine. Even if you remove the mapping device, the computer may be storing evidence of the mapping. BMW warns that will void the warranty.

My 272bhp 535d was done by Evlove to around 350bhp and 700nm ( my request). Yeah I know it is too much for the old gearbox but it's holding up well so far
