Thinking about swapping out for a BMC filter, just trying to figure out if its really worth it. I'd prolly also either get the RPi scoop or just make my own (remember seeing a DYI scoop somewhere...)

So basically, I know enough to know that the BMC is better than K&N, so I'd go with the BMC, but its about $100 bucks and I'm cheap - like, Scroodge-cheap! - especially, if BMC doesn't make that much difference. People that have these, would you say it is worth the money you paid for it? And please include what engine you have in your responses, as I imagine, it affects different engines differently.

just FYI: I have a 530 with a manual

If I were you I would pick up the RPi scoop and call it a day.

Pushers! Respect

But like I said, I'm a Scroodge, so I'm not spending 100 bucks on smth that's questionable - I'd rather spend 200 on smth that's definite.

And I've been told by someone that the scoop does not necessarily add HPs...

I would get both the bmc filter and the rpi scoop. But it you didn't want to spend the extra cash for both, just get the scoops. The scoops are dyno proven and adds hp to the wheel.

the biggest difference will be the sprintbooster, get a K+N/BMC with a nice exhaust with tuv/jasma other safety approval, thats about as much noticeable
difference as you will get
