Default Blacked out Headlights DIY??

I am going to take apart my pre LCI headlights to install Orion V4 and smoke/black out the corner. Add the Euro Fressness chrome decal on the inside with a smoked turnsignal cover. LED SMD signals, and 6000k headlights.

Are there any threads on the blacking out process? Thanks in advance.

post before and after pictures if you can

I know Simon and Chris (Republic Wrap) provide these kind of service, but I'm unaware of a DIY guide.

Umnitza has a DIY video on youtube i believe. there isnt a thread on the forum though that i can think of. back in the day when i tried this the very first time i just went and bought some rattle can spray paint and had at it. these days i use a much different process (top secret G14 classified lol) but the idea is just the same.

shoot me a PM if you decide you want to send it out this way to us. otherwise, take your time and have fun modding!

Thanks guys, I just got back from NYC. I saw like 5 E60 M5's modded out!!! I had fun letting the muffler deleted 550i roar down the NYC streets.

One other question for Pre LCI who makes led turn signals for the front headlight? I have found links for LCI bulbs but I see online that they are different bulbs.
So what bulb and where for pre-LCI led smd turn signals. Thanks

Thanks for the info. I thought I would want to use night shades so it will let the light through, but that stuff has a purple hue to it.

Dude... you are looking to do black out on the outer surface, or are you asking about doing it from the inside?

Firstly, I don't recommend blacking out the headlights from the lens, that's basically butchering a beautiful set of lights, secondly, if you must, use vinyl instead. Easily reversible.

I am removing the lens, installed Euro fresh decal inside the orange reflector. Smoking or blacking out the opaque turn signal part, then installing Orion V4, then installing the clear lens back over it.

Yah, then you wouldn't want to use Nite Shade. For the turn signals yes, not for other parts. That doesn't make sense.
