Just my opinion, but CF is what you put on a honda, not on a nice car like the e60. The matte will make the car look more subtle and agressive. I recently changed mine with the rims of the grilles matching the car color (titainum silver) with matte mesh and I like the change very much. Someone previously said that think the CF make the grille look bigger, but I prefer making them look smaller, more aerodynamic looking. (I realize it doesn't decrease the CD of the car.)
