Go with CF if you're going to install a matching CF rear diffuser -- otherwise, go with MATTE black esp. with your black car.

Go CF. I will put the CF grille and rear plate holder after I install shadowline trim. Should go well with my Platinum Gray. Love CF!!

I was debating the same thing for my sapphire black 535i. I finally decided to go with matte black because I felt it made the grill openings looker bigger, so to me the front of the car looks more aggressive. The CF looks cool but just doesn't have that same effect. I'm waiting to install them with my Mtech kit so it'll be a couple weeks before I have any pictures.

in my opinion, go carbon fiber if you have additional cf parts on your car

Exclamation

I've had a Carbon Fiber Grill for months now and love it. It has a quasi-exotic look to it and I NEVER see any other E60's with it, so it's also fairly exclusive. I'm too freakin' lazy to take pictures, but take my word for it, IT LOOKS GREAT!

Thanks for the info. I have CF mirror cover and door pillar on mine. GOSH, they look great... You should get them too.
Again, I thought may be a simple matte black grille is more elegant and more aggresive looking?
