1. It is messy as hell, if you get it in unwanted areas of your paint, be prepared to spend hours trying to get it off. (Make sure you have someone helping you hold the spoiler in place)
2. It is permanent, so once you install and it dries consider it a part of your car.
3. Did I mention it is messy and a pain in the ass if you don't have someone helping?
I used Betalink on the 530i when I installed the RD Sport spoiler and you're right that's some stressful %^&* to work with. The trunk lip spoiler is a replica, and I had a few problems getting it to stay down before. Both ends lost the adhesion after a few days. So, to keep from going through that senario again I called 3M and they recommended that I use 3M Auotmotive Acrylic Plus Attachment tape part# 06397 and the 3M Automotive Adhesion Promoter part # 06396. Both products were designed for spoiler installations which should take care of it.

Gloss is available OEM from BMW performance parts, they are typically much more expensive than matte.

looks great, its good to see someone else stepping away from the matte finish. i have these gloss ones on my silvergrey e60 and it really helps the contracst "pop" well. the gloss finish is very sleek, yet aggressive!
Other than my car, ive never seen a car in my area with gloss grills!

Thanks John. The black gloss added a little pop to the front end. I purchased the grilles through GetBmwParts.Com for $136.62 shipped. Not too bad. The next time I'm in LA, I'll let you know and we'll have a great time.

Thanks Bill109,

I had the black matte grilles on my last car, so this time I decided to try something a little different. With the M package there's not a lot that needs to be done.
