I like gloss black way better than matte. To me it makes the car more sporty and finished while keeping it's luxurious appeal. They go well with your car.

What's up Jason? Hope all is well. By the way thanks for the info on the double sided tape.

SInce the car is a 550 MSport there's not much that I need to due regarding body cosmetics and power. I'm thinking about installing this trunk lip spoiler that I have and that's why I'm researching the double sided tape. I tried to install it before but the sides wouldn't stay down, so I'll see what happens this time.

I purchased a black Rpi scoop from Trinity (thanks Nerwyll) and installed it yesterday, so next I'll purchase the AE's and LED license plate bulbs and that's all I need to do.

If you're using the OEM spoiler, there's a sweet spot and placement where the ends will have minimal lift and also the middle portion being flushed. You have to move the spoiler forward and backward in small increments and you will feel it "sit" in place. Once you find that, mark it with masking tape. Mine has been on for over two years with double sided tape and no hint of lifting.

I used Betalink when I installed my trunk spoiler, it is an OEM BMW adhesive. But a few warnings about Betalink.

1. It is messy as hell, if you get it in unwanted areas of your paint, be prepared to spend hours trying to get it off. (Make sure you have someone helping you hold the spoiler in place)
2. It is permanent, so once you install and it dries consider it a part of your car.
3. Did I mention it is messy and a pain in the ass if you don't have someone helping?

Thank you

I had the black matte grilles installed on my 2007 530i and they looked good, however, I wanted to try something different this time and the black gloss grilles really work well on a jet black car.
