They are not full proof. My first speeding ticket in 7 years (and only second one EVER) was 1 week after I got the V1. I was driving a bit faster than normal, but only for a brief time to catch up with friends. I got hit with Ka instant on around a blind curve. 70 in a 55... I did get it reduced to a 59 in a 55 so it won't cause points or increased insurance.
