Hey guys
For all those running bilstein shocks can you post some pics of your vehicle and what type of springs you are using. I just bought a set of bilsteins from a member and have not bought springs yet, I like a low look but where I'm from we get lots of snow in the winter so I still need some clearance. so I'm trying to get a feel for how low I should go and decide on which springs to buy. Preferably I would like no gap at all front or back but I am concerned about clearance in the winter. any input would be greatly appreciated.

Curtis, here's my experience. hope it helps http://forums.e60.net/index.php?showtopic=61405&hl=
I was actually hoping to see some picks of installs with various types of springs, not sure if the bilsteins make a difference in terms of ride height?

Im using bilsteins with eibach springs....i like the ride...quite stiff but still acceptable....if you want a softer ride you could try sachs......about the ride height....i think eibachs lowers 1.2 inch F and R. Whereas the H&R lowers 1.4 inch F and 1.3 inch i think....

My Ride: alpinewhite's ride
I saw Nerwyll's car after he got the Bilstein shocks installed onto his car. His ride height with the Eibach prokit was the same but in terms of handling and ride comfort, its night and day versus stock shocks. It reduces body roll and makes the car have a "sportier" feel.
If your car is a non-sport, I would suggest you go with sway bars also (H&R) to further reduce body roll. Even though I have Bilstein PSS9 coilovers on my non-sport e60 and the shocks are tuned to the stiffest adjustment, I can still feel body roll once in a while when I push my car on turns.
Before drop (non-sport)
This is my non-sport dropped on H&R sport

John
should I expect a similar drop to yours if I use H&R sport springs? I would like to try the H&R race but I am affraid that it will be too low for the winter (snow)

I would not recommend with H&R race because you will bottom out and rub for sure because of the tires you are running.
Go with H&R sport and you will be fine. The height you see in the picture is what you can expect for your own ride. I was happy when I had the H&R sport springs, but upgraded to coils when I went to 20" wheels.
