I'm actually thinking of either getting the Velocity or the Pivot, and Pivot is half the price...

Pivot has a wider range of selection. See this link:

http://www.pivotracing.com/product/THR

A friend has installed this in his E60, and according to him the results are amazing.

Now I'm confused...

If you read the review on one installed on an E90 320i, the reviewer said when he tested Levels 1 to 4, the results were as follows:-

Level 1: Similar to stock altho a tad better pick up
Level 2: Not much difference from Level 1 altho more torque at higher rpm
Level 3: Similar to the current Sprint Booster
Level 4: Higher revs..which is curiously similar to being in "S" mode

And he went on to say he felt that it was slower than his Sprint Booster.

His caveat was different engines might have different experiences..so will one of you guys get one and test it out? haha

I had my 525 installed yesterday. It has been so different since then.
Pedal felt so light to tap (at Level 2) as compare if I switch it off (normal stock mode)
overtaking is so easy on tap. I suddenly remember my car has all 218 horses, all woke up!
I too was concern abt my wife driving if I install SP. But now I have it all.
after watching F1, i push button to L4 (wooo I m Shoe-marker )
slow traffic push to L1
overtaking push to L3
so much fun than SP, i think.

Can you report back on the FC after, say, a week of spirited drives with it on? CHeers

I think an adjustable throttle "booster" is a much better idea than the approach that 1 throttle map will satisfy all drivers. Not sure i wwant to pay more than the SB price for one though.

Thats what I wanted. But I thought the SB was expensive!!

Just stick with the SB and be happy.
...that's right! and there's no other aero pk for an e60 other than the M-Tech and M5

I'd be willing to mess with this thing if it was cheaper - $465 just seems a little steep. Who knows though - my next ride, if I get bored with the 300 horses, get the turbo booster from lltek.com and still feel like I need something else... I'll still spend the 465 on something else hahahaa

Interesting stuff. It's nice to have the option to adjust sensitivity but one thing I like about the SB is that it's stealth and can be removed in minutes. Wonder how the Velocity unit installs...
