I'm pretty much content with my 520d but would like to
get a bit more power out of it.

Are there any suggestions as to which of all the offerings
out there to use for remapping?

I'd really appreciate hearing from those of you who've done
it and how it's worked so far for you.

most popular i would say would be DMS. whichever vendor they went with, i know for sure those with a diesel who have undergone a remap just love the results to death. you could try searching for things like "ecu remap" or "DMS remap" or "chippeduk" here on the forums. good luck with the mod.

I used Emaps for my other halfs Touareg tdi Simon did really excellent work increased power and mpg explained in detail what he was doing and why and its been in to the dealers twice now and they cant see the mapping once for a service and once for a recall their based just outside Birmingham but they do travel to do the job
