+1000 I got my new battery from a member who was selling it. Don't bother to look online, no one can ship you a battery - it's illegal I think, hazardous materials

Do you guys have a preferred aftermarket brand? The reason I want OEM is because the current one is the original. It's stamped 42 05 which means it's just over 5 years. To me that's a pretty good run for a car battery especailly for a car with alot of electronics in it. Aside from the condition indicator being black instead of green, it's still going strong. (at least it starts the car up no problem....knock on wood...
)
Who makes the OEM battery anyway?

exide, let me know which one you get and how easy was the process. Also i know you need to get it prgrammed.
Any DIY instruction and recommendation, step by step procedure's, picture's, video's on how to properly remove and replace old battery on my 2007, 530I. Help is greatly appreciated.
