Hi JDN:

THANKS for the pics of your 124's, man they do look good!

I have either decided to buy a set of OEM 124's or another of OEM BMW wheel style #37, (SEE BELOW)

If you notice these are Style #37 fakes, aka 18 inch Parallel M Replica Wheel's which I had some problems with at first, but they are straighten out now for the most part, but I got another loan approved, and I want to sell these style #37 Replicas for $495.00 for all 4, and buy the real thing this time THE BMW OEM Style $37 Wheel for $2,500.00 (4) or the set of 124 wheels!

What do you think about the #37's? (SEE BELOW)

Thanks,

Raymond Presley

I had a '00 740i sport, and those look very similar to the wheels that came as part of the sport package. Honestly, I think the 124s look more modern (perhaps because I know the others are a generation old!).

I like them. They are more or less what I wanted originally before I finally became enamored with the 124. No doubt, you will like the classy 37s. A word of caution would be that you may experience more curb rash with the 37s. When I first got the 545, I caught several curbs that would have normally damaged the wheels. Either the run flats or the design of the 124s or comibnation of both have kept me rash free.

================================================== ===

Thanks for your honest answer! I am with you on you thoughts of the #37 wheel vs the modern looks of the BMW OEM 124 wheel, and your right the 37's are made for the older 1995-2001 BMW 7 series, but Brian @ Chapman BMW tells me the BMW #37's will fit our smaller hubs on the new e60's.

I have about decided against buying the #37's mainly because of high price, (These old BMW M wheels must be made with some of Chris Bangles lucky GOLD pieces! Jk LOL)

BMW OEM Wheel pricing is as follows:

1) One 8x18 BMW OEM M Parallel Wheel # 37 = (MSRP) $632.50,

2) One 8 x 18 BMW OEM 124's are better priced by BMW at: (MSRP) $387.00

I will buy one of the two (37 or 124) OEM BMW Wheels for sure by next week sometime. (My Replica #37 wheels are new and nice, but they are not BMW OEM Quality that are made for our fine rides, and because they are not OEM's that in itself bugs me $$$$!) I guess I am just picky when it comes to my Bimmer, but so are many BMW owners, otherwise we be driving American made Chevy Corvettes or Pontiac GTO's, or Ford's! (LOL).

I know - the devil made you do it. I think that picture was made shortly before the calamity and that particular wheel has been replaced by another just like it.

The style 25 in 17" is what came OEM on my 540. For a long time I was disappointed in comparing the 124 to the 25 because I really liked the 25. Now I can see that it more closely matches the E39 than than the E60. It took a while, but I'm happy nowl
