Just getting familiar with the E60's, so please excuse my ignorance...What are the benefits of removing the charcoal filters?

Maybe 2 or 3 hp. Some say it also changes intake sound.
Every HP helps and if it's free, why not?

its an emissions-purpose filter, removing it would increase the air flow more and would let the engine breathe a bit more.
