Thank you to everyone for your comments. In truth the 22's is a bit of a mad mod on the E60...
The ride is not that different to the 21' Hartge but the issue has been rubbing under the arch.
Arches are ready rolled on the m5 so couldnt do much with them. When i put them first on i was
getting rubbing all round over dips and bumps...so i had 3.5mm machined of from the rears which
made a difference. The fronts have been more tricky as the width of the tyre was too big. Going
for a even lower profile was not possible as it didnt exist! Im running a 10mm spacer as without it,
there was major rubbing on the shocks. Kav has spent quite some time shaving / grinding bolts and
rubber which again has made a big difference. Initially we were planning to remove the inner rubber
lining but decided against it as too risky exposing electrical parts to the elements. Under load i tend not
to drive it hard on unfamiliar surfaces but for me its a weekend car so works fine for me.
The 22 do look sik on the car and take it to another level. Are there any other mad peeps out there
with 22's on their E60? p.s its also been lowered with eibachs pro-kit....im contemplating putting
the originals back on to give me a little more clearance bit i have been told , under load, it wont make
that much difference??
