BBS LM/Cheap Rubber Vs. BBS LM Rep with Yoko Advans
Hey guys,
So im at a bit of a crossroads here.
Im looking into getting new wheels again and ive come to the conclusion that the style of the bbs lm is what i want.
My problem is this. I cant afford to throw out anymore than 4500 on wheel/tires.
If I get authentic BBS lm's then I have to buy crappy rubber and I can only get 19's
If I get Linea Corsa or Chikara LM reps I can possibly go 20's but more importantly I can get exceptionally good rubber like Yoko Advan competition tires.
I kinda in the position of not enough peanut butter for the slice of bread. Either its going to spread thinly across the slice or its going to be thick in a few areas and sparse in others.
Im not making it an option to hold out and just buy authentic LMs with the Yoko's being the tires alone are $2k. and the wheels will run me $4k +.
IF you had to go this route and only this route, which way would members here go?

How about holding out and finding a used set of authentic LMs with good tires?
The price difference is good condition is small, making it worthwhile to just get new ones

get the bbsl lms with falken 452s. new falkens go for 600
I agree!!!
Id get reps if that means I could get some awesome tires, ive had potenza s-03's and thats my standard for tires, those are around 2k and the yokos are similar in performance and tread design
id dont like falken 452's i rode in a friends s2k with those and they broke loose easily

am i reading this correctly? YOUR considering reps?....of all people i wouldn't have guessed you would settle for reps.
i usually wouldnt but what good are forged wheels with crappy tires?
id rather have reps and excellent rubber than forged wheels and something along the lines of nexen 3000 lol
i have other plans for my money (ie house) and spending 7k on wheels and tires just isnt in my budget
even my volk te37's with the s-03s i got for $3500 so its not like i was flinging money out left and right, i got huge hookups on products and installs and thats the only way i could mod my car the way i did
lol im in the army and in school atm so im not made of money
