Hi Guys,

I Retrofitted a set of LCI tail lights to my E60 yesterday morning using Bruce's V4 cables.
The thread here has some detail
http://forums.e60.net/index.php?showtopic=...45&start=45

I have driven the car numerous times since then.
However, this evening I parked outside my brothers house & left around 30minutes ago to come back home & as I got in the car a warning signal sounded telling me to set the time/date.
The trip mileage & OBC had reset but everything else seemed fine (like it remembred my climate/audio settings).

When driving home I got another warning saying "Increased Battery Discharge" (or something along those lines)

Does anyone know what would cause this, or would it have anything to do with the new tail-lights?

Did you unplug your car's battery when putting on the LCI taillights?

If you did, try unplugging and plugging back your battery cable. This happened to me also when I tried retrofitting my M5 mirrors, I took the cables off and put them back on again even though I've already finished installing everything and this fixed the issue.

My cables itself cannot cause a battery discharge because its a passive device and is simply using the same power lines as the old lights. It got to be something else that may be the problem like a light that has not been switched off or the battery was disconnected and hasn't recharged completely.

Thanks for the reply guys. I was hoping you would have read this Bruce and what you have said has put me at ease!
I didn't disconnect the battery whilst changing the lights so I'm guessing it must be something less sinister.
I've just gone and switched the car on again after it being sat overnight and all seems well.

Quick question - When you turn the lights onto "Auto", does the Green light only show when the car decides to turn the lights on or should it show Green all the time?

On my e60 the auto light indicator is green when the lights have been turned on automatically.
