When I was ordering my 545i one option I took some time to consider, was whether or not I would keep the model logo on the rear of the car.
On my E36 318i some 8 years ago I deleted it...because....it was a 318i !!....on the
E46 328i I kept it...seemed cool, and I maybe I wanted more attention than the
anonymous E36. This time however I decided to go for a debadge.

My reasons are IMO : looks neat , not provocative and "do you really want to mess with me ?" at the traffic lights..!!

Owner's opinion and comments, as usual, well appreciated...

Thanks
Andy.

But... I would prefer to have a 545i badge instead of mine 525D!

What a great idea !
That would be funny, though it would ruin the look of the car...

Please dont flame me!! ... here's my $.02 but it seems from my experience that the only people who are seriously into debaging are ones whose cars are not from the highest model trim... mind you, as with any rule, there are exceptions, but we are talking about the majority here...... I believe you will see more 545i's debaged only AFTER the ///M5 is released....

I kept my badging on my E46 328i even after ther the 330's and ///M3's came out even though lots of people kept insisting that it was "cleaner"... i mean.. my car is what it is ....and i thought it looked cleaner WITH the badge.. but hey.. to each his own!

Once the "emmy" is out there will still be no reason to debadge a 545.
M5 is visibly a different car/league.

Debadging depends on where you are. In Germany the ppl would never come to you and say "great car", they would think "this a$$hat can afford a car like that and I can't" and then they would do damage to it. So in Germany debadging is very popular.

Is it wrong of my to blurt out laughing upon reading your response?!?!

hahah.. i'm sorry.. i just thought your comment hilarious.. sad... but quite funny.............
my co-workers must think i'm insane.... haha......

I guess i never thought about that.... but i guess around here in So Cal... there are too many "a$$hat"s who are rich that you'd be exhausted to damage all their cars... u'd never get to where you were intending to go... lolz...
