A BAD VIBRATION FEELING!!
#1
Gents,
For those of you experienced vibration after putting on replica/aftermarket wheels like myself I have some good news. This morning I took my 05' 545I to a high performance tires shop to diagnose that bad vibe feeling. They told me that my Zenetti wheels need to have hub centric. So I told to do what ever it takes to get rid of the bad vibe. Took 20 min. for them to get my ride back to the heavenly stage. I took my baby on the freeway @ selective speeds to test it out. At 55mph, 70mph, 90mph and last 110mph for short lengh of time, no vibration at all, my seats were as calm as a cup of water in my cupholder. I also did some slow speed test too. It's gone.
Do yourself and your Bimmer a favor, get "hub centric".

Oh, I wish it were so easy. Did you use plastic or metal for the rings?
They should have a separate area on this site called: Replica Wheels.

Yes, it was that EZ. I didn't think they can eliminated the vibration by installed a aluminum hub centric rings to all the wheels. $80 that's all it cost me. The place is a very reputable store. They take care most exotic cars here. While I was there I saw they put on custom suspension parts & wheels for one Ferrari, Aston Martin and a Bentley. Make my ride look little compare to all these beauties.

The rings only cost $3 each. All you need to do is take the wheel off, slide the ring on and replace the wheel.
They should have charged you the price of a tire rotation (e.g., $20).
That being said, the piece of mind is worth it.

My Ride: 535d Sport, carbon black, media pack, visibility pack, grey leather, heated seats, sun protection glass, voice control, Eibach ProKit, 19" 166 style wheels, e-maps ECU remap to 325hp and 640NM, top speed limiter removed
I think they shouldn't have charged you at all.
I would expect a proper wheel and tyre place to know that to start with, and when offering you a set of wheels for your car, to have these within their calculation. Full stop.
At least that's what the place does where I get my wheels.

Gents,
Thanks for the info. I'm a daytrader and I don't have time to shop or bargaining. My philosophy is if any problems can be fix with excellent workmanship and save time then money to me is no subject. I use my good fortune to buy the best in life and enjoy to the fullest. Isn't making $$$ all about. Especially, when my cars are BMW 545i & MB CLS.

well, I see it similar, with the only difference that when I spend top whack, I expect a top job and nothing less.
Had you got the top job in the first place, you would have saved the time to go to a tyre shop again.
