OMG talkigna botu creacks , rattles and other noises that may occur after an operation like that...
Not if done right. But the rear view mirror is now useless with the screen down. But I really like the idea of the rear cam.

Here are a few more pics:
This is how the back-up camera (Kenwood) look like after installation. Pic quality is much better Toy/Lexus back-up cam.
Back-up cam, rear entertainment, i-Drive interface,-img_0172.jpg

This shows the LOC to convert low freq signal from sub amp output and feed it to the amp. Other speaker output does not convey low frequency signal at all.
Back-up cam, rear entertainment, i-Drive interface,-img_0136.jpg

This is power connection of the amp. Gnd wire is just 1ft long to avoid noise. Amp mount here to seperate it from power line coming from battery going underneath trunk mat and fuel pump motor noise. These noises cause whinning high pitch sound

This is the M5 paddle shift kit that I just tested and about to ship it to one of our E60 member here. Just wait for transfering instruction from video tape to DVD

i really like the pic with both screens watching same movie.
Is it difficult to install and how did you do that for watching movies on your idrive screen over the full length of the screen?

I don't have nav, so it's 6,5" screen. This screen is perfect for 16:9 ratio movies. To be able to watch move on CID, I need to buy the i-Drive CID interface from navwithtv for $500+. This module is not perfect.
It has 3 RCA video inputs (V1, V2, V3 for reverse cam) and 1 RGB input.
When I start the car, it always switch to V3 and said no signal for about 10 sec. It's very annoying. When switch to reserve, it takes about 2 sec to switch to back-up cam. When I switch back to drive, it takes about 10 second to get back to i-Drive screen. This is unacceptable for a unit cost $500+.
All wires comes with this unit is very thin. Going over the bump would cause the unit off and on for a moment. Some users bought this unit and he puts it back on eBay after a short use due to it's performance.

Ow that is really anoying...
Aren't there any other possibilities?
You also say you don't have the nav; could it be less expensive if you have it? (in my opinion not really but why not ).

Thanks for replying

The price from navwithtv is the same whether you have nav or not.
For the performance and value, this unit has so much room to improve.
