I have a BB on my 530 and yes, it's loud, but the hardest part to live with is the drone. I actually had a muffler shop install a Magnaflow resonator right before the muffler to quiet it down a bit. Dave (flyingpuck) had a cone custom-built by BB to lower the drone, but I'm not sure if they would make it on a case-by-case basis. I think he would be kind enough to get a group buy started so they would consider making them for us if we get >10 folks signed up.
hmm so everyone seems to say the drone is pretty bad, I guess I won't know till I install it. Other then the drone how is it for sound is it pretty deep on the 530 or not? Also did you notice any performance loss on the 530? I've only seen sound clips from 545i with the B&B and nothing from a 530i. My rogue engineering dms exhaust on my e46 droned a bit too in the low rpm range I wonder how this will compare?

Good morning guys! The B&B can be a bit loud, mine was until the "Resonation Cone" (B&B's name) was installed. As Lokoloko stated, they can be purchased for any exhaust system, and whereas a Group Buy could happen, it's my understanding that they will build these on a single basis too. So if you or anyone else here are interested, all that would be needed is the diameter of your exhaust tubing BEFORE the muffler, and it would be built to spec. Let me know and I'll pass along any orders!

With the B&B, I noticed a little bump in power, but MOSTLY that delicious sound!! The Resonation Cone did little to change the performance (B&B swears it won't affect the performance at all) but certainly smoothed out the drone!

In smoothing out the drone does it silence the volume as well, I don't mind it being loud as long as its not at a frequency that resonates in the cabin.

It makes it a touch quieter, but when you push it you have NO doubt that it is there!

its not that bad. BMW's cabin sound control is amazingly well engineered.

sounds like it may be similar to what my rogue engineering dms sounded like, can't wait.

So it doesn't seem like a very popular exhaust choice amongst members here?

As for mine, I think it's pretty deep. Didn't really notice any performance loss, but for my car, I just wanted it to sound better since I knew no exhaust would turn it into a beast anyways.

I don't know if you've seen this one, but here's a
of it on a 530. I had a clip posted of mine, but I deleted it. I'll try to post it tonite.

Yeah I realize that I'm not going to really get any gains I just hate to lose any power, it be great if you could put a clip of yours up. thanks
