Well well well.....I believe it's only been a couple weeks (hello Znod) since I suggested to a few of you that you would eventually find this out. I will also never own another one of their products. The Eisenman is so far superior, and even the Remus (even in its non-stainless version) is better and fits better, IMHO.
Yep, I remember. I can't remember if I ask you, if you had the chance, to thoroughly test for resonance in 6th gear between about 1500 and 2000 RPM. Don't go out of your way, but I'd still like to know if any of the after-market mufflers are completely resonance-free in this range in 6th. I don't want even the smallest amount of resonance.

Helllo there neighbor....

I got mine done in a crappy muffler shop on Lexington Street Waltham, beside Blockbuster Video....I paid $80 and have no problems with mine and they were welded. I got my resonator removal done by Lou's Custom exhaust in Waltham. Both places do great weld jobs and you may want to call them and ask them...

Lou's Custom exhaust was once in Allston, next to the NTB. Now, it becomes AMCO transmission. It looks like not many customers like to have aftermarket exhaust in Allston ....

Wow, I'm suprised no one will weld it for you. If I'm understanding this correctly, the piece that broke looks like a rod bent into an L shape, right? That's BS that they said they don't work on stainless. A simple tack weld will do fine and it doesn't matter what type of steel it is. Granted the spot that they tack may not be corrosion resistant at that point but it's not going to fail in this lifetime if they do it right and no one is ever going to see that piece so who cares. And the place that you originally took it welded on your exhaust the first time right? Now all of a sudden they don't do stainless? Sue them then cause that's retarded that they would be able to do it once and not again. Either they lied the first time or they lied the second time, but they're negligent either way. I don't know why I'm getting worked up about this, sorry. But I'm with you, it's retarded when people don't back up their work. I'm surprised you don't know how to weld though, it's not very hard to learn, maybe you should just ask someone to show you real quick and then you can fix it yourself. Do any of your neighbors know how to weld, they could tack it on real quick.

Thank you so much! That is very helpful.

I did not want to break it to the Eisenmann customers, but their exhaust looks lousy and sounds like crap. I have seen several and would never have gone that direction.

There are nice ways to say things. Ways that don't disrespect the tastes of others.

Knowing how to weld doesn't make you white trash and mean you live in a trailer park. I was just trying to help man, I'm sure a lot of doctors, lawyers, investment bankers, and portfolio managers know how to weld. People have hobbies and lives outside of work. And I don't know for sure, but I doubt everyone has been living there their entire life, I'm sure they had to work their way up to living in that neighborhood. I bet one of them took autoshop in highschool and probably learned how to weld.
