I have the pads, so I guess I will find another mechanic and get them installed. BTW, congrats on little Cooper! You know that was my favorite name.

Just put them on , you'll thank us !

Well, I called another place that specializes in BMW service (recommended on one of the BMW forums), and they too refused to install the Axxis brake pads. Now two reputable service centers have declined to install the Axxis Deluxe brake pads. Looks like I will be selling these if I can't get anyone in Cincinnati to install them.

Any reason why you must go 2 BMW to have them installed? Is it because of warranty?

With many BMW dealerships, they will give you any excuse so that you must purchase BMW parts. Its mainly a benefit for BMW and the dealership.

I say install it, I have the brakes too but haven't installed them yet. I will soon. I've heard nothing but great feedback.

If you really dont want it, i'm sure there be plenty of people willing to purchase it from you. So you win either way.

Neither of these shops are BMW shops, both specialize in servicing European cars.

Hmmm, I'll search the posts for DIY instructions, and maybe I can convince my Brother to install them for me when I see him in a couple weeks.
