My part for the Aux connection arrived last week. The BMW of San Diego will be installing it on my 545 next week. I hope this works.

I took the German document with the German part number to my dealership here in B?blingen and the service manager initially sad ?no problem? but called me back later to say after he input the US part number the computer came back and told him it was not possible to have the AUX installed on a US spec car <_< He was like ?this is crazy let me check with Munich?. He called me back and said after talking to Munich there is no problem at all. The part and the installation is exactly the same for US and German spec cars, just different part numbers. Who knows why the US part number is flagged So I dropped my car off today at the dealership in for a software upgrade (letter from BMW) and AUX input install as well as a few other things.

So this is possible on a US spec car! My dealer got the from Munich. It is just a matter of finding the right person.

I spoke with the "electronics" tech yesterday. He called Munchen also and went throught the same steps. In the end the same results.

Looks good! I asked the local dealer who said this is N/A in US. I will give them this P/N and hope they will order it.

Guys just as a fyi part number is B65 12 0 153 502 202 part number does not exist.. but from what parts MGR told me today it is in a locked status for entire US which means no US dealer can order part even thought there are 129 in Germany in the warehouse..
