I have an appointment for an AUX IN install on 2-27-06. Dealer quoted $349.00 parts and labor. I know this is high. They said they would work with me if I could provide example of other dealers doing it for cheaper. Please help with your AUX IN costs and dealer names. thx cg

My Ride: in 2005... a completly crashed Audi A4 3.0 Quattro. ... 24th Jan. 2006... a new 530xd Touring

I only paid $141.00.... (CHF 185.00)
But I only paid the material... the labor was supported by the dealer...
For the price of the new car, it was a MINIMUM... and I shouldn't have paid a penny at all! <_< (it would have been a 0.19% discount!!! )
Nevertheless, it works and I can plug my Ipod...
If it helps, I can send you a copy of the invoice.... but the dealer is based in Switzerland...

I paid $140 for labor (1 hour, per the aux input install instructions, attached), and $64.12 (after 10% BMWCCA discount) for the part. And this was at Peter Pan BMW in the land of high prices, San Francisco bay area.

The part number is at the top of the install instructions I included in my post above.

BMW of Newport sells parts at 25% discount for E60.net members--see sticky in parts sub-forum.

I got a quote of $270 at Gebhart in Boulder, CO. Part, labor and CIP update. Going in Monday...looking forward to having my 60G Video iPod back in action (car new to me in November).

Have any of you checked out the VOD Cars Video Podcasts in the iTunes store -- there's some really cool stuff on thier short clips...and they are FREE!

Lots of Lambo's, Ferrari, Bimmers, Porsche...
