I went to my dealer today and they said they were unable to install the aux input. They said that it is not possible on a June 04 build. Does anyone have any TIS or information that I could show them. They also said that it costs about $300 whereas many of you have stated that it was les then $200.

Thanks

My car is a May 04 build and i had the aux input installed with no problem Total cost $180.00 Aux input installed including tax.

Maybe the $300.00 cost would include a software update ?

But i'm sure someone else here on the forum has some more detailed info for you!

Good luck
Rich

Try another dealer. I paid $64 for part (after 10% BMWCCA discount) and $140 (1 hour per BMW install instructions) for labor.

I have a Mar 04 build with AUX In - No problem.

Follow stream's advice and try another dealer.

Dealers said that no aux can be installed on cars build after 9/05 with nav. You know why? Because they don't want that to be part of the deal. If they add a freebee worth $200, they'd lose some commission on it.
