Get a engine and car Ebersp?cher- or Webasto heater if you don't have any electricity on your hands.

I go with Defa in the winter.

BMW have an OEM solution to start the car remotely (even via your mobile phone). Its called ThermoCall - check if you dealer will do it for you.

Yea, warming up the engine especially in the winter.. So your car will last longer...tired of starting up the car then havin to wait for the bars to go down...

I am not a fan of auto-starters, too much can go wrong.

No need to wait long, start it, let it run less than a minute, and drive off slowly. Don't hit high revs until engine is warm and you'll be fine. Idling a cold engine is not the best way to warm it up.

I don't believe any car should be turned on and left idling to warm up. Turn that potential energy into kinetic and drive!
