So I've search on this forum and on the internet about my auto lights not coming on during foggy days. Is there a setting or sensitivity coding that needs to be adjusted or what not? Sometimes I find my lights coming on during the day with the sun out. Anyone else experience this?
Humm, that sounds a bit conflicting. Not coming on when it's foggy would suggest the setting isn't sensitive enough, but it coming on during day with sun out implies otherwise. I'll check into this a little bit.

It's so weird, my lights come on automatically during the night no problem there but sometimes as I'm leaving my garage they are on since I'm in a enclosed area but as soon as I pull out into sunlight I'd expect them to turn off. They'll stay on the whole time. Today was foggy here in the Bay area turned the car on and headlights are off even though I have them on auto. I had to eventually manually turn them on. If I switched them to auto they would turn off ugh... Thanks for your help "nomis_nehc" Hopefully someone else has seen something similar with their car.

It's possible or maybe just got loosened. There's also a rain & light sensor (61359174999). However, I don't know where that is located. I think it's in the front of the car someplace. Maybe behind the kidney grilles. Also possilby another sensor on the rear view mirror.

Wow so many possibilities. I will make an appointment and try to take at the end of the month, thank you all.
Or you can try activate the light sensor sensitivity settings menu in the iDrive, as following:
RAIN_LIGHT_SENSOR
aktiv
C750A_SCHWELLWERT_EMPFIN
par_frei
C750A_SCHWELLWERT_NORMAL
par_frei
C750A_SCHWELLWERT_SEHR_E
par_frei
The control unit is CAPPL or MASK.
I did that.

I would have to get someone to help me with that.
